Archery Club

The scout group runs an archery club for group members from the Cub and Scout sections, run over one or more weekends a term.  The aim of this club is to provide a chance for the members to improve their target archery skills beyond that which is possible during the regular section and district programmes.  The club teaches target archery using both the bare bow and freestyle techniques, and focusses on the improvement of the archers technique over lucky high scores!

In addition to these taught sessions the club runs several competitions and fun sessions over the course of the year.

The club is currently being run in the scout hut, and the upcoming events are displayed below.

  • January Club Sessions
Today we ran all five sessions for a total 16 young people, welcoming back several established archers and a number of new faces.  Well done to everyone, especially those who came for the first time and those besting their previous scores.

Best score charts have now been updated with todays results.

The next session is on Saturday 20th February, note that this has had to be cut down from a full weekend.  Sign up sheet will be up on the board at the end of Cubs on Wednesday.
